We currently provide three levels of learning to children aged 3 to 12 years old. However we do have programs for toddlers and parents as well as for teenagers. If you are interested in those, please send us an email or call us for more information.

We place our students according to their age and level of proficiency in Arabic, in our different levels program. We believe that children of same age have same abilities in terms of maturity and speed of learning. Of course, we acknowledge some exceptions related to the background of each child and the follow-up in the families.

Each level is normally completed over a period of 2 school years The learning is based on our “playful way to learn the Arabic language and culture”.

Level 1: This is our Beginners level. Children will be immersed in the Arabic language. After completing this level, students will be familiar with the Arabic language and culture, be able to communicate in terms of basic greetings and daily tasks. They will be exposed to the letters of the Arabic Alphabet and will be able to recognize them and trace them.

Level 2: This is our Intermediate level. Children will be engaged through games and skits aimed at teaching them more communication skills around themed lessons. They will follow Rouba and Rami in their adventures narrated in an Alefb proprietary storybook. Emphasis will be on precision of form, i.e using the feminine masculine, correct tenses etc… Students will learn how to form words and simple sentences towards performing communication tasks.

Level 3: This is our Advanced level. Children will be improving their Arabic language skills and knowledge while using it in actual communication situations whether orally or in writing. Emphasis will be on helping students produce with the language, and increase their vocabulary.

Teenage Program: Open to all levels, based on short films selected by the Arab media and Film Institute. Students will work on a project based language learning basis, learn relevant vocabulary necessary to complete a specific project and be exposed to current Arabic societal themes.

Cost is $14 per hour over 30 weeks(2 hours weekly). Commitment is required for the entire school year.

Financial aid is available upon request.

Registration deadline is September 10, 2019.
